PPP Shar

PPPshar is a tiny, yet powerful proxy server that enables you to share a single Internet connection of any type be it Dialup, ISDN, AOL, DSL, Cable modem, or satellite connection among several computers in your home or office network. No configuration hassles.

All the Internet services are pre-configured to get started immediately. It has a simple interface, easy to use and runs minimized as an icon in system tray. Updated, detailed and easy to navigate help document is also included. PPPshar allows or blocks access to IP addresses and file types. This security feature can also be used by ADSL/cable modem users as a firewall to prevent attacks on their computers.

PPPshar runs on a single Windows 9x/Me or WinNT/2000/XP computer which does not have to be dedicated to the purpose. PPPshar can share a single Internet connection with nearly any type of client computer running TCP/IP.

Using this advanced feature you can block access to java applets, gif, jpg, exe, zip files or any file types to the entire network. And allow access only to specific file types, like htm, html, txt files etc.

You can use all the above facilities in every computer in your Network which are not directly connected to Internet.
