Maptech Initiates Reseller
Empowerment Drive
By Archana
Venkatraman Mumbai, Nov 13, 2006
Maptech Infosoft, a
Chennai-based provider of internet solutions and software
development, has initiated a "I Gain" program to enable resellers
graduate from volume-based product sellers to solutions sellers.
Till date, Maptech has conducted three "I Gain" meets
providing technological training and free softwares to about 60-70
partners.
M. K. Anand, director-business solutions, Maptech
Infosoft, "Maptech has initiated 'I Gain' in order to elevate the
resellers and enhance their job role and contribution towards the
industry. They have to move from mere box-pushers to value-added
channel partners."
He added, "The IT resellers have to be
upgraded, educated, trained and be able to cater to the customized
needs and thereby tap more customers. They have to transform to
solutions providers."
Commenting on the advantages for the
partners, he said, "These days, owing to stiff competition and
diminishing margins, the manufacturers too want partners who have a
deeper understanding of customer needs and develop it for them. This
trend of being solutions provider is essential for system
integrators and hardware channel partners who have a larger scope to
integrate new technology depending upon the market requirement."
Maptech has a dealer base of about 15-17 partners across
India as its active dealers selling the NettOffice brand comprising
mail server software and proxy server software. |
